DOA5U + XPS - Dead or Alive Ultimate Knockouts! (DOA5 Ultimate)

Finally, real Knockouts return to Dead or Alive, thanks to XPS.

Even if I've been disappointed a lot by the series in the past, I am a certified Dead or Alive fan. No other series mixes fan service and fighting awesomeness like Tecmo-KOEI's flagship beat 'em up. And of course, the DOA girls are certainly the most fetching collection of female fighters around (though Tekken fans may say nay). Now, there are some gripes I have with the series as of late. While thankfully the influx of barefoot bikini outfits has finally allowed us to enjoy all the girls' soles and toes (despite the fact that the quality of the in-game feet are inferior to Tekken or VF5), there is still a glaring aspect of DOA5/DOA5U that I wish I could rectify- the Knockouts.

Really, the plain, irritating thing about DOA5 is that NO ONE GETS KO'ED at the end of a match. You hit them with a dozen-hit combo, drop them off a building onto their heads, crack their necks or suplex them into an exploding gas canister- all it does is make them dizzy and give up the fight. Are they knocked unconscious? Nope. To be totally accurate, you CAN actually make a downed (and dizzy) defeated enemy lose consciousness with certain follow-up hits on them, but it's after the point.

The KO is something I find really appealing, satisfying and, well, hot, so I want them in the game again. Well, thanks to the XPS Posing Program, that can finally happen in DOA5 Ultimate. Well, kinda.
 They key is having the character and stage files from DOA5/DOA5U to work with- thankfully these are often posted by modders on DeviantArt, though not all characters/DOA girls have had their barefoot swimsuit models made available.

The next is posing the character you wish to see knocked out in the KO pose you wish. Then it's all a matter of capturing footage of the slumbering babe with a capture program such as FRAPS.

  Someday I hope to have access to all the character and stage models...

After which it's just a matter of editing and attaching the KO ending sequence to a match video that uses the corresponding characters and stage used in an Editing Suite, like iMovie or Windows MovieMaker. Having the music file of the stage is also a plus.

Put it all together and VOILA, you got a hot and sexy KO sequence with a napping hottie to ogle at the end of the action-packed brawl. To date, I have most of the girls' models in their barefoot Hot Getaway or Ultimate Sexy outfits, although a couple have not yet been made available (Christie and Sarah). I only have four stages to alternate and use for vids as well.





One thing to watch is that the KO endings should not be too long. Save footage for another match.

 The videos take a bit of work, but once the template files are done it's just a matter of recording new matches and changing up KO poses so they're different or slightly altered every time. KO or Sleepy Fans should find the finishing sequences a lot more satisfying, and I think they bring to mind the Tekken 6 KO win poses with Zafina or Dragunov that were my favorites in that game.

Ultimate Sexy? Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arrrives!

The DOA girls are back and sexier than ever before.

Ah, Dead or Alive. Probably one of the pillar fighting games for me, even if the barefoot babe content in it has been on-and-off for the many, many releases in its long history. The original Dead or Alive on PSX was my absolute favorite barefoot babe fighter (still is a sentimental fave today), but DOA2, with its huge number of rehash/upgrades/editions pounded me with no barefoot content at all for about ten releases (Itagaki and Team Ninja then- go to hell). DOA3 had ONE barefoot babe in karate babe Hitomi. DOA4- a barren wasteland both in barefoot babes and fun. Sigh.

Team Ninja finally won us back with Dead or Alive 5 Plus, thanks to the sexy barefoot bikinis in the Collector Edition exclusive (during release) Hot Getaway Swimsuit set. And now- Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. Bringing several additional fighters, new moves, modes and costumes, will it be Ultimate for us footfans as well?


If you got the 'Hot Getaway' barefoot swimsuit set from DOA5/DOA5 Plus, you can use them in Ultimate.

Unfortunately, the barefoot babe content in DOA5 Ultimate is actually a bit less than in DOA5 Plus- but I assume that you will do the right thing and add DOA5 Plus's Hot Getaway swimsuits (as DLC) to DOA5U. In fact, all previous DLC for DOA5 (and DOA5 Plus) can be transferred/cross-saved to Ultimate. It's quite painless- if you have a DOA5 save, the first time you boot up Ultimate it will ask if you want to load the save- yes, you do.

The sad part is that natively, DOA5U has no barefoot outfits for the ladies in the new costumes that come with the game (well, you can consider Hitomi's Karate Gi as one). Downer. However, if you got the Japanese/Asian Collector's Edition (just as it was with DOA5 Plus), you get to download the 'Ultimate Sexy' Costume Set, which includes several barefoot swimsuits for several of the ladies. Once again though, there's a caveat. Not all the ladies get barefoot swimsuits, or swimsuits at all. It's actually pretty irritating. Seven of the girls get swimsuits, while the other seven get 'Racing Outfits' which, while sexy, sadly come with footwear/sandals. Also, Rachel the Fiendhunter, one of the newcomer girls added in the game, wears sandals with her bikini. DAMN!


DOA5U adds in several new fighters, new moves and tactics for everyone, new modes, intro and win poses and lots of bits and bobs.

So what do we have left then? Six barefoot swimsuits. The three younger DOA girls- Kasumi, Ayane and Kokoro- get the ubiquitous one-piece Japanese 'School' Swimsuits. Since I'm not Japanese they don't particularly please me- luckily their Hot Getaway bikinis are much hotter. Leifang's bikini once again comes with a skirt-like cloth, but I find it's lingerie-like style much better than her DOA5 Plus swimsuit, which is great.
Next comes Hitomi's hot pink bikini, and it is pretty much my big favorite among the new swimsuits. I was really disappointed with her Hot Getaway skort thing, so this just shows off the Karate Kid's bod so well.
I'm sure a lot consider Helena's seashell bikini (Godfather?) the hottest suit of the bunch, and certainly it's the skimpiest and definitely an eye-catcher. But personally, I actually find her Hot Getaway white bikini sexier and much more suited for a lady of her class. But hey, I'll still use the new suit. Heheh.


You'll spend a lot of time finding all the new bits like new costumes, character intros, tag team intros, win poses, alternate hairstyles and stuff.


And FINALLY, there's Momiji in her white, oh-so-cottony bikini. All I can say is Momiji, OMG. Now THAT is a vision. Momiji's perfect bod and her height are a vision, and I just love seeing her in action in the swimsuit. The bikini is really hot, which is a contrast to every other costume she has (all of which are a variation of her 'Japanese Miko Warrior Ninja' schtick).

With the new suits, an all-new babe in Momiji and the addition of the DOA5 Plus suits, I guess DOA5U is a must have for any foot fan who loves the DOA girls (and what foot fan doesn't?). There isn't any change in the girls' feet models (still not as detailed as I would like, but they're still quite nice), but the overall look and feel of DOA5U is great and sexy. Sadly, getting an actual KO in action is still a bit hard, but thanks to that and the new additions (intros, win poses, taunts, etc) of the game, this is the freshest barefoot babe game we can get now.


Playing a lot with Kasumi just made me realize how damn kickass and awesome she is. All that plus perfect, kiss-worthy feet. What a woman!

One last caveat though- until the 'Ultimate Sexy' costume set is made available as DLC on the PSN/XBL stores, the only way to get them is through the Collector's Editions. Till then, the only barefoot costumes available are the Hot Getaway set (available as DLC now).

DOA5 Ultimate could have had more barefoot outfits, so in the end, it's not quite 'Ultimate'. But sexy it definitely still is, and well worth getting for me (and sharing with all of you!). From here on, we'll focus on the babes themselves next. Now, if you'll excuse me- I have to go play a bit more with Momiji... Mmmm...

Dead or Alive 5 Plus Tina, Hitomi and Ayane Gravure Movies (PS Vita)

Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the PS Vita is out, and there are quite a few vids online. Sadly not enough of the girls in their barefoot 'Paradise Swimsuits' as of yet. But still, Youtuber Ailes De Lumiere has posted several of the DOA girls' 'Extreme Private Gravure' movies. As far as I know, these videos are only available as bonuses in the Japanese Collector's Edition of the game. They're really not all that- they're basically just a half-minute look at the girls frolicking on the beach- nothing too hot or steamy and I question why these weren't included as a matter of course for the NA versions. Perhaps they'll be released as free goodies eventually for all.






Unfortunately while Ailes has posted many of the gravures, not all of them have the girls in their Paradise outfits. But perhaps that will come soon, so I'd bookmark the channel if you like the three vids above. Hopefully direct-feed HD versions will be posted as well. I'll update this post if more vids are posted.

I am actually considering getting a Vita for DOA5+ (liking the Touch Fight, actually), but only if I get the Paradise suits in with it. We'll see. For now... the vids. Darn, Ayane is so cute...

DOA Girls' Barefoot Swimsuits (Dead or Alive 5 Plus)

Finally barefoot bikini babes again in a proper DOA game!

Here's a peek at the 'Paradise' set of swimsuits that will debut in the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the Playstation Vita. As far as I can tell, these suits will have the girls barefoot, although as of right now I have only actually confirmed this for Kasumi, Hitomi, Ayane and Christie. The way Team Ninja does things though, chances are all of these suits will come sans footwear... which makes them treats for us! Hey, this IS a big event... the last time the DOA babes were barefoot in swimsuits in a real DOA fighter was waaaaay back in Dead or Alive on the PSOne (still my fave, which I keep and play on my Android smartphone... heheh).

No word yet though on when or if these suits will be available as DLC for the PS3 (which I am hoping for). I am not that hot with buying a Vita just for DOA5 Plus (can't share vids of that after all). So we'll just wait and see for now and bide our time till these awesome barefoot bikinis are more available. This is a great sign though, and hopefully more barefoot costumes will appear in DOA in the near future.

For now, gawk at these pics and choose which babe whose soles you'd best love to press your face against. Heheh. The game is out on PSV starting March 19.

UPDATE: Just embedded a YT video from some Japanese show with Team Ninja showing off DOA5 Plus to some celebrities. There's a match with Kasumi in her sexy, sexy barefoot thong bikini, although sadly the vid is kinda low-res. Even sadder, it's pretty apparent from the vid that the Japanese are pretty much all about boobs. Still, it's something to see as this game heads to release.

Barefoot Beach Babes in Dead or Alive 5 Plus?

Last year's return of Dead or Alive 5 surely pleased a lot of its longtime fans... but as well sorely disappointed foot lovers. There were bikinis aplenty for the lovely DOA ladies, but ALL of them came with footwear. Apparently Team Ninja as a whole have no clue that feet are sexy- well, the ones who handle their Facebook page surely don't, as they seemed to be puzzled that a lot of people were asking for a Shoe Toggle option in the game. It even reached a point where someone set up a petition asking for it (which gathered at least the needed amount of 100 signatures). After that though, there hasn't been word or sign of them answering footfans' wishes... until now.


Finally, a DOA game where both fighting AND gravure fan service mix and match.

Judging from the trailer above, the upcoming Playstation Vita port of DOA5, titled Dead or Alive 5 Plus, will have some of the girls wearing outfits where they are barefoot. Hitomi the karate hottie, plus kunoichis Kasumi and Ayane are shown shoeless as they cavort on the new beach stage, 'Zack Island'.

Logically and hopefully, all the girls will have barefoot outfits or have a Shoe Toggle so they can kick off their bothersome sandals and boots and show off their perfect soles. It's something we footfans have been wishing for, and perhaps something great. Great enough to warrant purchasing a Vita? We'll see. DOA5 Plus is out this coming March. I'll keep my eyes on this.

Dead or Alive 5 Barefoot... Body Pillow Babes?

I've got good news and bad news. The good news? As you can see above, Ayane and Kokoro finally get outfits that have them baring their lovably kissable feet. The bad news? It's NOT in-game... these images are from a batch of upcoming DOA5 Body Pillows. BODY PILLOWS. Yep, these artworks will be gracing cushions for some Japanese gamers to hug, caress and... well, whatever. And here I was thinking that Team Ninja finally did well to give us foot fans our fervent wish for barefoot customization or barefoot outfits in Dead or Alive 5.
Anyway, the images above really look nice, but this isn't my thing. Not sure if these will be available outside Japan (I doubt it), but if you want them, importing will be your friend. The pillows will be out on January 2013.

I'm still hoping that Team Ninja eventually puts out some more barefoot outfits for the game as DLC- thankfully they don't seem to be stopping in their periodic add-ons just yet. For now though, well, enjoy the images. Dibs on Ayane! Heheh...

Dead or Alive 5: Fan Service and Fighting Feet!

Hitomi's Karate Feet are always a Lovely Treat in DOA!

In case you didn't know, Tecmo-KOEI released the sexy comeback beat 'em up Dead or Alive 5 earlier this week. While this game has traditionally been known more for bouncy boobs, there has usually been goodies for foot-lovers as well, save perhaps for the previous DOA4 (which was all-around horrible anyway for various reasons). Well, with DOA5 comes a couple of barefoot babes out of the box; the first of course is our always-awesome Hitomi, the German-Japanese Karate Princess who is fortunately once again rocking her trademark Karate Gi. Thanks to the upgrade in graphics and character model detail, Hitomi's feet are quite nice (if a bit delicate-looking for a martial artist) and will surely please footfans. There's quite a lot of great views ingame when Hitomi is barefoot and kicking butt, and there's even various scenes in the game's Story Mode that has nice views for our soleful enjoyment!


This cutscene has Hitomi practicing her karate in her gi, and showing off quite an awesome sole shot and some nice closeups. Oh, and Leifang's quite hot too...

Aside from Hitomi, there's also the lovely newcomer, MMA cutie Mila who shows off her fighting feet with her default shorts and footguards outfit. Mila is a refreshing addition to the roster, and her moves and grapples are given to lots of foot shots.


DOA5's new barefoot babe, Mila, is quite a hottie. Oh, and she also shares the same VA (Japanese) as another barefoot fave- Asuka Kazama!

The next couple of vids show off both barefoot hotties in action. No matter who wins, its footfans who come out on top!





Finally, the last barefoot babe in the game out of the box is Alpha 152, the gel-like super clone boss who debuted in DOA4. She's unlockable after you play the game a lot. The cutscene below has a nice closeup view of her feet... what a nice entrance!


You can imagine that Alpha's gummi-like feet must taste pretty fruity... heheh.

That's it though. Sadly, DOA5 has no barefoot customization, even if it has glasses and underwear customs (ARGH). As I've posted before, there's an ongoing petition which aims to ask developers Team Ninja to add a barefoot option for the game's swimsuit outfits- the petition is more than halfway complete, and needs only 30 or so more signatures to be ready... if you're a foot fan, you MUST sign and give this movement your support. With luck, DOA5 may become an even hotter game for footlovers.
For now though, it's still quite a solid fighter and a sexy one at that with the three available shoeless hotties- actually a pretty good number compared to most previous DOAs (DOA3 and DOAU only has Hitomi showing off her soles). Is it something to get? Why, yes, I think. So if you're looking for another sexy foot-friendly fighting game, you can do no wrong with Dead or Alive 5. For now, enjoy the vids and dream of pretty MMA and Karate Soles headed for your faces...

Hitomi E3 2012 Gameplay Foot-age! (Dead or Alive 5)

She's back in her gi and looking awesome!

Dead or Alive 5 is being shown off at this year's E3, and lots of gameplay is finally being revealed. Also now come to light is the fact that our favorite karateka, Hitomi, has gotten her karate gi (or uniform) back! It's not quite the same as in previous games, but at least she's still totally-barefoot in it (no instep guard nonsense for this hardcore cutie) and looking darn great. I'm still bummed out that it still seems that no one ever gets knocked out in this beat 'em up, but having barefoot babes in this sexy brawler kinda assuages my outrage.

On another, but similar, note, it's already clear that characters in DOA5 are getting multiple costumes- apparently there will also be 'sexy' outfits in the final release, and in an announced Collector's Edition. The sexy outfits haven't yet been all shown off, but Kasumi's is one of her DOAX swimsuits. We still haven't been shown a full pic of Kasumi in the swimsuit, so unless I see her actually barefoot in it (DOAU had her in a bikini but wearing darn sandals) I'll hold off celebrating. In any case, it looks like Dead or Alive 5 won't be scrimping on the sex appeal and fan service, so that makes it something to look forward to in a few months. Man, which will be the hotter game- DOA5 or Tekken Tag 2? It's pretty clear though- VF5 Final Showdown kicks both of their asses handily... heheh.

UPDATE: Replaced my previous blurry screencaps with nice, clearer images. FINALLY a great development in the upcoming sequel to DOA. After a long, long wait footfans can look forward to barefoot babe action in Dead or Alive 5. The latest trailer to the game, debuting at this year's E3, reveals (albeit briefly) the lovely Hitomi wearing her Karate Gi and barefoot... as she SHOULD BE. It's been too long since the brown-haired karateka has been in her proper dojo attire- I was afraid for a while that we'd have another crappy DOA4 chapter but this finally makes DOA5 a title I can get behind. You can check out the action below.

 Now, if only the game gives the other girls barefoot outfits as well... I'm happy with Hitomi already, but hey, the more the merrier! There does seem to be customization in the game- perhaps we'll see shoeless options for the other ladies. In any case Hitomi makes DOA5 a must-get for me this September... perhaps Team Ninja can sweeten the pot and throw in her polka-dot bikini as well? Heheh... I'll be keeping my eye on DOA5 from here on in. More barefoot karateka as we find her!

Hitomi, Bikini Karate Babe! (Dead or Alive Ultimate)

And you thought that Hitomi was hot in her Gi?

Following up on the previous article featuring the gorgeous karateka Hitomi from Dead or Alive Ultimate laying waste to opponents while barefoot and dressed in her trademark Karate Uniform, here's the lovely German-Japanese teen kicking ass while wearing a teeny-weeny red and white polka dot bikini! Hitomi truly is special in DOAU, since while the other babes also have swimsuit outfits, ONLY Hitomi has one where she is barefoot (perhaps because she's a hardcore karate kid!). This makes Hitomi the Barefoot Bikini Karate Goddess of Dead or Alive, and surely THE favorite of foot fans in the series.









You have to really applaud Hitomi for her being hardcore enough to fight the world's deadliest fighters in just her bikini. But I guess this also works to her advantage- surely the male fighters will be a bit distracted fighting an opponent of such hotness (of course, this wouldn't be an advantage against the other babes). I know I'd probably be staring open-mouthed even as she thrusts her bare, sexy soles at me. It would surely hurt, but man... maybe it would be worth it to be close to such perfection. Heheh...

Though DOAU's a bit dated now, Hitomi in her bikini is still a vision, and I just can't get enough of her kick-ass sexiness in action- she's surely hotter here than in even the skimpiest floss-suits in DOAX or DOAX2. Hitomi is at her most beautiful and sexy when she's kicking those legs and feet at an opponent, fighting and leaping and just kicking righteous ass as she shows off her own. Once again I am so happy that I have DOAU in my gaming library- certainly a Must Have for every foot-loving gamer thanks to this barefoot karate princess. Hitomi, Barefoot Karate Babe! (Dead or Alive Ultimate)

She's got technique and power! And hot, sexy feet!

I recently got myself a Nintendo 3DS, and with it I now have a copy of Dead or Alive: Dimensions, the latest DOA fighting game. This handheld fighter's pretty cool, and has one simple reason why barefoot fans should like it- the return of the stunning Hitomi in action wearing her trademark Karate Gi! Even better, the version she's wearing in DOAD is the redesigned Gi from Dead or Alive Ultimate, which nicely replaces the black undershirt she wore in DOA3 with a black sports bra (gotta love that extra bit of midriff).

Unfortunately, as seen with my videos posted of Super Streetfighter IV 3D Edition (also on 3DS), capturing video from the dinky little 3DS screen with a digicam is tedious, and the quality of the vids leave much to be desired. So for now, instead of posting crappy DOAD vids, I'm doing the next best thing- posting video of Karate Hitomi from Dead or Alive Ultimate on Xbox360. I have to say, taking out DOAU from the library and firing it up again to see this hot barefoot karate princess in action after such a long time brings back so much great memories. Kissing those perfect karate soles must be the dream of every footfan. Man, they don't make games like DOAU anymore. Hitomi is darn HOT! More Barefoot Costumes in Dead or Alive: Dimensions?

Barefoot Lisa in DOA Dimensions?

Here's a tantalizing bit from the sexy 3DS fighter, Dead or Alive: Dimensions. We already know that the game will have, at least, one barefoot costume for DOA's karate princess, Hitomi- namely her trademark karate gi. Aside from this though, there hasn't been any sign that there will be other barefoot costumes available for any other DOA girl... till now!

The above pic is of a 'figure' that will be free to download soon after DOA:D's release- it's a two-character figure with a barefoot Lisa about to be suplexed by Tina Armstrong. Yes, it's a figurine, but conceivably the costume Lisa is wearing (in which she is barefoot) may be an available and/or unlockable costume in the game, or perhaps a DLC extra outfit. Additional costumes will be downloadable free for DOA:D sometime after release, via the 3DS's Spotpass feature. Conceivably there may be barefoot numbers among the at least 30++ coming extra costumes, perhaps even something awesome like Hitomi's polka-dot bikini from DOA Ultimate. We'll have to wait and see!

Anyway, I'll be grabbing a copy of Dead or Alive: Dimensions as soon as I can, so I'll be revealing all that I find in the game then. For now though, barefoot fans may seriously consider getting a 3DS (awesome toy) and the cool barefoot babe fighters on it (right now SSFIV 3D, and then DOA:D!) for awesome barefoot babe enjoyment on the go. Later then, footfans!

Dead or Alive Dimensions

Dead or Alive was, once upon a time, one of the top fighting game franchises out there. It was, in fact, one of the first games that gave us really hot and sexy barefoot babes to play with, care of the first DOA home versions- the totally awesome Dead or Alive for Playstation in particular. Among the unlockables were sexy swimsuits for the ladies, in which they were barefoot. To this day, the PSX version of DOA is one of the crown jewels in my barefoot babe game collection. Sadly, after that an obscene amount of time and sequels of DOA2 passed before another DOA babe would show off her bare feet for footfans- that was Dead or Alive 3, with the super-cute karate princess, Hitomi. Easily, this half-German, half-Japanese hottie captured a lot of hearts the first time she appeared in a DOA3 trailer in her karate gi, kicking her bare sole into the camera. Awesome! Hitomi would once again appear in an even sexier karate gi version AND an awesome bikini in Dead or Alive Ultimate (yet another Must-Have barefoot babe game).

Sadly, after that things became murky with the series. DOA4 was atrocious in that not one babe had a barefoot outfit- even Hitomi lost her karate gi, a trademark outfit (this was made even more annoying by the fact that she had several different colored versions of one dress... the devs really screwed footfans). Perhaps as karmic punishment, the series went into remission as it's 'father', Tomonobu Itagaki left Tecmo. Years passed, and even though rumors of DOA5 were heard here and there, nothing ever came out.

Well, now here's Dead or Alive: Dimensions, a version of the game for the Nintendo 3DS. It seems to be a mishmash of the series, throwing in all the characters, along with a snazzy Story Mode (Chronicle) and various goodies. The best news though is that, at the very least, barefoot fans have a reason to get interested in DOAD- Hitomi has her karate gi outfit back! Karate Hitomi shows up in the Chronicle Mode AKA Story Mode.

Aside from the costumes already in the game, there will apparently be more outfits that you can download. Here's to them giving us sexy barefoot bikinis! Well, that's not for sure, but at least we have karate Hitomi confirmed. Anyway, with DOA Dimensions and Super Streetfighter IV on the Nintendo portable, barefoot babe fans may want to check out the 3DS if they're looking for a mobile gaming fix. I just may pick up one up when DOAD launches later this month. For now though, enjoy the vids!

Hitomi (Dead or Alive)

She Kicks High! Hitomi's feet aren't as detailed as with today's fighting games, but that didn't keep footfans then from ogling them endlessly.

Ah, Dead or Alive. It was, in it's time, one of the premiere fighting games, even if it was often chided for being a bit too heavy on the fan service. A little fan service never harmed anybody, and DOA had a LOT. The DOA babes were hot polygon princesses who jiggled and jostled their way into fighting gamers' hearts. Sadly, the series is more known for boobs than feet, with only the port of the original Dead or Alive on Playstation giving us all the available beauties barefoot in sexy bikinis. Since then though, the series went astray, disappointing fans repeatedly with the ad infinitum rehashes of DOA2, most of whom had either no or few alternate costumes, NONE of them showing off the girls' feet.

Thankfully after the dark age of DOA2, Tecmo's fighter returned to foot fans' good graces with Dead or Alive 3. A flagship fighting game for the debuting Xbox, DOA3 featured amazing graphics several new fighters- one of them being of course, Hitomi. A teenage karate fighter decked out in a traditional martial arts gi, this German-Japanese barefoot beauty made her first appearance in the DOA3 trailer, performing her cool martial arts kata, bare soles kicking at the camera and entrancing foot fans everywhere. She was cute AND hot as well as being kick-butt awesome, her lovely bare feet as beautlful as they were deadly. I can tell you, Hitomi was my favorite from there on, the sole reason for purchasing an Xbox and a copy of Dead or Alive 3. Good times, indeed.


Hitomi's karate gi was slightly 'sexed up' in DOA Ultimate, her tank top undershirt turning into a sports bra that showed off some sexy midriff.

Hitomi would continue to charm fans as the series continued into odd directions, such as the DOAX games. Even among all the other also-bikini-clad-and-barefoot ladies in the game, Hitomi still stood out (who could resist her when she did her sexy dances, or trademark kata in her bikinis?) thanks to her winsome, down-to-earth charm and girl-next-door good looks.

Then came Dead or Alive Ultimate, which is truly aptly named. Thanks to her popularity, Hitomi was included in the remade version of DOA2 Ultimate. And lucky that she did- Hitomi is the only babe to go barefoot in the game, not only in her trademark karate gi, but in a sexy polka-dot bikini! The sight of Hitomi, bikini-clad and barefoot, kicking butt, is divine indeed, and solidified Hitomi as DOA's true Barefoot Goddess, and makes DOA Ultimate the single most important Dead or Alive game in any foot fan's collection (next to DOA PSX).

Sadly, the fourth and apparently final Dead or Alive game, DOA4, horrified all with the absurd omission of Hitomi's karate gi from the selection of outfits. Never mind that they had room for about three or four different colored versions of a German skirted dress, there was apparently no space for Hitomi's trademark martial arts costume. It was blasphemy indeed, and I still can't believe how moronic Team Ninja was for that.

Well, we still had DOAU, which is where surely Hitomi is at her sexiest, and that's all we need.

Anyway, enjoy these new HD vids from Dead or Alive 3 and Dead or Alive Ultimate. Even in this day of HD graphics and awesomely-detailed character models and environments in games like Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur IV, the Dead or Alive games still look decent. Even if her feet aren't as detailed and sculpted as finely as the Tekken or VF Girls, Hitomi's soles are still a treasure and a pleasure for foot-loving gamers.

Karate Princess vs Bikini Goddess!

As of this writing, the future of Dead or Alive is uncertain. Tecmo still has the option to continue their fighting game franchise, even without the participation of the series' creator, Itagaki. If so, I hope they see fit to reinstate Hitomi as the barefoot karate princess that she is, and perhaps update the game with true Character Customization so we can have all the DOA babes barefoot. Even if this great event should take place, surely Hitomi will always retain a special place in our foot-fancying hearts.

DOA Paradise

I got myself a copy of Dead or Alive Paradise on my PSP recently. This game has been a bit of a joke from most game sites since its release, and with good reason. It's pretty much just Tecmo cashing in on what they can milk from a 4-year old game (the original Dead or Alive Xtreme series on Xbox and Xbox360), and marketing it pretty much as a portable masturbation aid. Well, that aside, is there reason to get this 'vacation' sim/volleyball/gambling/relationship management game? Well, if you're a barefoot babe fan, yep. The graphics, while pixelized quite a bit, isn't that far from the console versions, making for some sexy videogame vixens to ogle. Yep, the breast bounce is ridiculous and irritating, but thankfully foot fans shouldn't be looking at them too much (heh). The girls' feet aren't hyper-detailed (this isn't Tekken 6 or Heavy Rain, dudes) but at least they're nice to look at, with cute toes and smooth soles. Whether they're napping by the pool or frolicking in the various gravure cutscenes, you'll have nice views of the girls' pretty feetsies.

But pretty much best of all, unlike the console versions, the PSP version is a lot dumbed-down and easy. Earning money is easy 'cause the opponent A.I. for the volleyball matches are pretty weak, so you can get the skimpiest suits after a bit. Better yet, it's a lot less trouble to watch the girls' various 'gravure' scenes. Once you watch a cutscene, it's unlocked for anytime viewing in a mode called Private Paradise (hmm) where you can enjoy seeing Christie or Kasumi spread 'em wide or roll around to your heart's content. The incentive to go through the regular vacation mode is to befriend girls enough so you can have them 'imitate' your current main girl to unlock more video cutscenes. The trick is to find which girl has the cutscenes you like watching the most, then befriend the girl you want to do them too so they can 'imitate' the scene. For me? Watching Christie dance just never gets old.

The more you unlock, the closer you get to unlocking the most racy vids in the game, the pole dances. In any case, the volleyball is easy, the gambling a time waster and the relationship management as easy as buying particular gifts to please a target girl and have her loving you enough to accept the skimpiest bikinis as gifts. The girls are hot, their feet nice and sexy, and the game simple, stupid but easy. It's good for a laugh or two, a little relaxation and time killing with some barefoot bikini babes who will climb some trees, flop around or dance at the press of a button. If you're not too self-conscious, check this out for your PSP, it's silly but sexy and light-hearted fun.

Dead or Alive Paradise Trailer

A small army of barefoot bikini babes, frolicking around on a tropical island, showing off their hot, jiggly bodies and soft, kissable bare toes and soles. And they're yours, whenever you want, wherever you want. That's what Tecmo's Dead or Alive Paradise is promising, this coming March. And here's the trailer!



Well, the spot is actually mostly rehashed footage from the DOAX2 trailer years ago, but it's still kinda cool. Paradise will supposedly be lighter on the beach volleyball aspects of the game, but still have all the minigames, gambling, shopping, gift-giving and girl-watching fun of the console versions... plus a new babe named Rio. She's not from any DOA title, but apparently a mascot from Tecmo's gambling games. Strangely though she looks a bit more anime-esque which makes her stand out a bit from the rest of the girls (and not in a particularly good way). But hey... the more the merrier. Anyway, just how much fun there's to be had here above all the eye candy remains to be seen, but if at least Paradise gives us at least as detailed feet as the console originals, it'll be a game worth getting for foot fans. I'll be sure to check it out when it comes out in a couple of months.
