Apologies for the long absence of updates, but well, I haven't had much inspiration from the old favorite game franchises, though I am hopeful for the future. I have also been busy with other endeavors, but still- I don't plan on entirely abandoning the blog, or the Youtube Channel. Once a fresh new crop of barefoot babe games arrives, I'll be sure to start posting more again.

Anyway, I found these two cool TV spots for Yahoo Broadband starring the awesome and lovely female karateka Rika Usami, and I just felt it should be posted here. She's a real, live barefoot butt-kicking karate babe and is a vision to behold. And soooo CUTE. Enjoy!

Makoto in Streetfighter X Tekken! (PC)

The Girl with Pure Karate Spirit enters the fray!

 Okay, now HERE is one awesome mod for the long-running Streetfighter X Tekken on PC. In particular this is pretty close to my foot-loving heart since it lets me see one of my favorite barefoot babes in a game she could only be in before in my dreams. Yep, thanks to new modder Robhal, Streetfighter's Karate Tomboy, Makoto has finally come to Streetfighter X Tekken! Okay, not completely. Certainly this mod uses her actual complete skin from Super Streetfighter IV, but of course the character being used is actually Tekken's Asuka Kazama. Well, I can think of no other fighter in the game who is a perfect fit- she's a bit of a tomboy herself, is Japanese and kinda-sorta practices karate (well, a Japanese martial art amyway). Yeah, her animations are a lot more girly than what you'd expect from Mak, but I think it's a great fit.


It's kinda hard to see Makoto fight without her trademark Hayates, but her grapples fit her nicely.

 Of course, the Makoto skin is her default outfit so I had to team her up with default Ibuki to make the team complete. Seeing them fighting together has long been a dream of mine to see. It's only halfway there but I'll take it. Heheh.

Anyways, this is a really cool mod, so check out the tag team action as the Karate Kid and her Ninja BFF go and kick some of the bikini-clad butts of the other barefoot babes in the roster. Man, this game really has paid me back in full and then some after all this time. Oh, and by the way... HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Happy Soles! Heheh.

Asuka 'Ryu Cosplay' Mod (Streetfighter X Tekken PC)

Barefoot Asuka in a Gi... Daaaaamn HOT!

It's been a long wait, but FINALLY a modder has given our adorable Tekken Tomboy, Asuka Kazama, a sexy barefoot mod in Streetfighter X Tekken. On the one hand, it's not another swimsuit or bikini mod (I'm still hoping for one to come eventually), but fans of this Troubleshooter from Osaka will not be disappointed. The mod lets Asuka cosplay as Ryu, putting her in a tattered martial arts gi... and, well... contrary to what you'd usually expect from a gi, this one is pretty sexy. For starters, the front gives a very nice view of Asuka's, um, healthy chest. The pants also show off a nice length of shin building down to Asuka's now totally-bare feet... and what big feet they are!


Lili may show off more skin, but Asuka's big, beautiful feet will please footfans to no end.

Up to now, every Tekken babe in SFxTK (Lili, Nina, Xiaoyu) has small feet (relative to the SF Girls), but Asuka is the sexy exception. Her feet are really hers (taken from her alt ninja outfit), not something swapped from another character's model.  Even in Tekken 6 her feet are nicely large, though its her hands that are more distinct... and I am loving it. Big feet means they're easier to see and adore- you really just have to get past the comical proportions and consider it's all just part of the art style of the in-game graphics, and not literal (in my opinion).



The 'Ryu' outfit certainly fits our lovable tomboy to a tee.

In any case, I'm happy that despite their size, I think Asuka's feet are still pretty and nice to look at, and it's about time they're fully bare and out of her trademark boots or the ninja foot protectors in her swap costume. I wish the modders could produce a version of Asuka's classic Hakamas outfit in SFxTK, but this gi outfit is already awesome. I think it fits Asuka perfectly, and looks just as great as any 'legit' alternate costume. Man, Capcom should hire these modders and make some of these awesome mods canon.



Despite not being a swimsuit, this mod certainly doesn't lack in sex appeal...

Anyway, till THAT happens (don't hold your breaths), PC gamefans will have these barefoot beauties to themselves thanks to these awesome mods. Once again, my investment in a good gaming laptop pays off in spades. Finally got my Barefoot Asuka back and she's awesome in SFxTK. This game may not have been the success Capcom and the gaming world expected it to be, but I am loving it for all these sexy mods it has allowed to happen. I can't get enough of Asuka's sexy soles. Until someone produces a sexy bikini, I'll be keeping Asuka in this mod for the duration. Hehe. For now, enjoy the vids I've posted. There will definitely be more on the Channel soon.

Hitomi E3 2012 Gameplay Foot-age! (Dead or Alive 5)

She's back in her gi and looking awesome!

Dead or Alive 5 is being shown off at this year's E3, and lots of gameplay is finally being revealed. Also now come to light is the fact that our favorite karateka, Hitomi, has gotten her karate gi (or uniform) back! It's not quite the same as in previous games, but at least she's still totally-barefoot in it (no instep guard nonsense for this hardcore cutie) and looking darn great. I'm still bummed out that it still seems that no one ever gets knocked out in this beat 'em up, but having barefoot babes in this sexy brawler kinda assuages my outrage.

On another, but similar, note, it's already clear that characters in DOA5 are getting multiple costumes- apparently there will also be 'sexy' outfits in the final release, and in an announced Collector's Edition. The sexy outfits haven't yet been all shown off, but Kasumi's is one of her DOAX swimsuits. We still haven't been shown a full pic of Kasumi in the swimsuit, so unless I see her actually barefoot in it (DOAU had her in a bikini but wearing darn sandals) I'll hold off celebrating. In any case, it looks like Dead or Alive 5 won't be scrimping on the sex appeal and fan service, so that makes it something to look forward to in a few months. Man, which will be the hotter game- DOA5 or Tekken Tag 2? It's pretty clear though- VF5 Final Showdown kicks both of their asses handily... heheh.

Barefoot Hitomi is BACK in DOA5!

UPDATE: Replaced my previous blurry screencaps with nice, clearer images. FINALLY a great development in the upcoming sequel to DOA. After a long, long wait footfans can look forward to barefoot babe action in Dead or Alive 5. The latest trailer to the game, debuting at this year's E3, reveals (albeit briefly) the lovely Hitomi wearing her Karate Gi and barefoot... as she SHOULD BE. It's been too long since the brown-haired karateka has been in her proper dojo attire- I was afraid for a while that we'd have another crappy DOA4 chapter but this finally makes DOA5 a title I can get behind.  Now, if only the game gives the other girls barefoot outfits as well... I'm happy with Hitomi already, but hey, the more the merrier! There does seem to be customization in the game- perhaps we'll see shoeless options for the other ladies. In any case Hitomi makes DOA5 a must-get for me this September... perhaps Team Ninja can sweeten the pot and throw in her polka-dot bikini as well? Heheh... I'll be keeping my eye on DOA5 from here on in. More barefoot karateka as we find her!

From Karate to Aikido?

Streetfighter's resident barefoot karate tomboy, Makoto, has always been known and loved for her trademark gi or martial arts uniform. There's really something attractive about the baggy, formless attire- I think it's the way it accentuates our favorite parts. But aside from the regular Karate uniform, there's one Japanese martial arts outfit that's even sexier for me- the Gi and Hakama. Hakama are, for the benefit of the uninformed, the traditional Japanese pantaloons characterized by wide pant legs, often worn by samurai and by martial artists (particularly of the Aikido school). In games, there have been quite a few hakama girls- our favorite of course being Asuka Kazama.

Well, thanks to another cool and sexy mod from prolific modder Ohhho, we can now see Makoto barefoot in hakama... and what can I say? HOT!


Hakama perfectly show off a nice bit of hip, ankle and feet... surely why it's a fave among martial arts foot fans.

The mod has Mak wearing traditional sarashi (bandages) as her top, with the hakama bottoms nicely showing off a teasing bit of hip as well as her sexy, strong ankles and big, beautiful feet. I think the whole ensemble gives a very appealing, rugged look that perfectly fits the tough but cute tomboy. I'd go even farther to say that this mod brings to mind a more mature, slightly grown-up Makoto, buffer and tougher and more kick-ass and cute. I really, really like this... heck, I would have to, to replace the Lightning/No Gi mod for it. Enter Chun-Ryu! (Super Streetfighter IV AE PC)

Yep, that's Chun-Gi, er, Chun-Li!

We're back with another awesome mod for the uber-sexy PC version of Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition, this time it's for the ever-beautiful Beat 'Em Up Icon, Chun-Li. Master Modder Sloth86 brings us yet another perfectly-crafted custom skin, portraying Chun-Li as Streetfighter's wandering Shotokan fighter, Ryu, in a tattered Karate Gi and barefoot! Yeah, a shapeless martial arts uniform covers up most of Chun, particularly her long and formidable legs, but it of course leaves bare our favorite parts. Needless to say, the humble gi outfit has its fans (me among them) and unique appeal. Seeing the lovely Kung-Fu Mistress in it is a truly unique treat and something we'd never thought possible years ago. Thanks BE to SSFIV AE on PC! One can imagine that travelling hobo/fighter Ryu would be kinda... stinky and sweaty... but surely the lovely Chun-Li, despite being dressed in a similar way, would smell divine, from her ever-cute and endearing hair buns to her big and sexy (and noticeably more soft-looking and feminine) feet. It's really an awesome mod and I think this look just suits Chun-Li perfectly for some reason.
Unlike most mods, this one only comes with two variants for Chun-Ryu; one with her 'bun' hair, and one with boyish-cut hair like Ryu's (all ten colors are just plain white otherwise). But then, that's just a little quibble; this is definitely one keeper of a custom skin. So if you got the game, this is one mod to get. Otherwise, just check out the action as Chun-Ryu takes on several challengers (all of whom are somewhat less covered-up) in some sexy, sexy matches. Enjoy!

Makoto vs Sakura: Gis of War! (Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition for PC)

This means WAR!

What IS it about the simple, basic Karate Gi? It's an intentionally bland, unadorned, unassuming and decidedly un-sexy uniform... however, the sight of a cute girl clad in it's loose folds can drive some men wild. Yes, it may be quite ironic that a garment that pretty much equalizes gender most usually enhances a babe's beauty, in our case by focusing our attention on the few parts of the body that it doesn't conceal- specifically, the feet of course. I can't say I understand fully the fascination with karate girls in gis (even if I myself have this preference on occasion), but in these times it's better to just appreciate the wonderful gorgeousness of martial lovelies in their most pure of attires.

Capcom's Streetfighter is certainly the one franchise that has made the simple karate uniform or gi famous and recognizable, even if it's due to a very male character, Ryu. But since then, female fighters have put on the gi and have gotten their own followings. In Streetfighter it certainly is fact that the one girl who symbolizes the true spirit of Karate and models the karate gi perfectly is Makoto Rindou. This fetching tomboy wears her father's passed-down uniform with true pride, patches and all. But now, a challenger has come to give this Karateka some competition. Sakura Kasugano is Ryu's no. 1 fan, but for some twist of design she instead wears her school uniform into battle instead of a gi like her idol. Well, this has finally been corrected, albeit unofficially, via the awesome 'Ryu Outfit' mod by Sloth86. Now Sakura can go into battle barefoot and gi-clad, and become a more fitting opponent against the champion of Rindoukan.

Makoto Kicking Into Your iPhone (Streetfighter IV Volt)

Soon, you can have Streetfighter's karate babe on the go!

A nice little tidbit of news here (which is fitting). Capcom just announced that their upgraded iPhone beat 'em up, Streetfighter IV Volt for the iPhone/iPod Touch, will be getting a free update that will add two more fighters to the game's roster. The first is Sakura, the sailor suit-wearing Shotokan schoolgirl. The other is none other than the Girl with Pure Karate Soles, Makoto! So now we can go around with SF's barefoot karate babe, ready for playing on-the-go without having to buy a Nintendo 3DS and a copy of SSFIV 3D.
Well, I have an iPod Touch with SFIV Volt already installed, so I'm very much ready to greet my cute tomboy karateka with open arms. This is pretty awesome... who knows, maybe someday we can have Juri and Ibuki to join the fun? For now though, I'm as happy as a clam.

Makoto New Artwork (Streetfighter III 3rd Strike Online)

Here's a lovely artwork of our favorite hardcore karate girl, Makoto. This all-new portrait art is from the upcoming Streetfighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, a new version of the 2D classic. This online-capable brawler will boast arcade-perfect gameplay, redone HD graphics and artwork and more goodies for the fighting game fan. Of course, for us foot fans it has lovely 2D sprites of Makoto (and fellow barefoot babe Ibuki) leaping and running about, kicking with her big, beautiful bare feet.


Makoto's toughness and cuteness are rendered well in this new artwork by artist Stanley Lau.

I really like this new portrait- it's much nicer than her original Third Strike portrait (that really made her look like a little boy, with tiny arms and huge feet that made her look pretty odd) and of course, has her tough but beautifully expressive feet drawn in nice detail. How tough those kick-hardened and callused feet must be, but their shape, defined toes and full soles and heels must be pretty sexy for the hardcore foot fan. I'll be sure to grab SF3 Online when it comes out later this year. For now, enjoy the artwork!
