Lookback: Barefoot Babe Gaming 2012

The year when the world was supposed to end is almost over, but thankfully we’re all still here apparently. So that means, MORE barefoot babe gaming to enjoy next year! But before we head off to uncharted territory, here’s a short look back at the year that was in virtual sole-hunting, the Highs, the Lows and some stuff in between.

Best Barefoot Babe Game of the Year is surely Sega’s Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. Hell, for a price less than any console fighter, you get what is perhaps the deepest fighting game you can get- an arcade classic filled with beautiful martial arts and a roster of cool fighters. Oh, and the cool Character Customization feature allows you to have each of the game's hot ladies barefoot, like any awesome fighting game should, as well as dress them up or down to just skimpy, sexy bikinis. I’ve been wanting VF5FS on my consoles for years, and FINALLY, my wish came true. Truly a treasure with barefoot babe hotness to be enjoyed as you please. All that, plus the game is super-cheap, so if you have a PS3 or an Xbox360, this is a Must Have!

Best Female Bare Feet in a Non-Fighting Game surely has to go to the lovely soles and toes in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim on PC, once you’ve installed the awesome FemFeet mod. Created by the divine modder Phygit, the mod replaces the default, ugly melted wax stumps for feet we had to suffer through with truly gorgeous-looking bare feet. The detail is amazing, down to individual toenails to the fleshy realistic soles. This is probably as good as it gets for feet in videogames as yet.
This mod pretty much rescued Skyrim from being a total waste to easily the game that any foot lover MUST have- as long as they own a good gaming PC. Hell, if you don’t, get one- this game is just that hot. Install the mod, and live your sole-hunting dreams vicariously in this awesome virtual fantasy world and RPG.

Biggest Disappointment for me in 2012 was, without a doubt, Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Namco-Bandai’s big budget, overstuffed tag team fighter came with pretty much every fighter worth mentioning in the Tekken universe, but sadly came as well with truncated, dumbed-down character customization that took away Bare Feet as an option. WHAT THE HELL? That’s about as basic as you can get, and they take it away? In any case, whether you were a barefoot fan or not, gamers generally found the customization feature in TTT2 lacking, so hopefully the next Tekken will bring back more detailed customs (and hot, sexy barefoot babes) for our pleasure.
Runner Up: Another Big Disappointment in the year was Dead or Alive 5. This Tecmo sequel threw in sexy bikinis for the ladies, but all of them came with shoes and sandals- BOGUS! Sadly, not even a petition for Shoe Toggling by some footfans online hasn't panned out yet- apparently there isn't a single foot-lover in Team Ninja. All of them are boobs. Sigh...

Biggest Comeback. To be fair though, at least while Tekken Tag 2 removed actual barefoot customization, it did give us more barefoot babes (and semi-barefoot babes) than the original ever did, and the sexy and funny new Item Move KO animations were pretty awesome. So Tekken Tag 2 is still a winner of a game, despite being a step back from Tekken 6. It also gave us another treat...



Leo. Yummy.

Big Barefoot Babe Surprise of 2012 for me was seeing Tekken tomboy Leo Kliesen barefoot!  Now, that wouldn’t have mattered a few years ago, when her gender was in question… but since the German cutie has since been confirmed as truly female, we haven’t looked at Leo the same way. Oddly enough, of all the females in TTT2, she has a couple of swimwear outfits that have her barefoot, and she certainly looks quite fetching in them. Yeah, there are a couple of other barefoot beauties in TTT2, but Leo just has that freshness to her and I found myself an all-new favorite hottie. Here’s to more barefoot Leo in the next Tekken games!

Best Barefoot Sequel in 2012 is surely Soul Calibur V! Yeah, this game may be a bit lacking in Single Player replayability and the Story mode kinda sucked… but the Character Creation is as sexy as ever, and the game’s character models are HOT. Well, ever since SCIV you can’t really go wrong with Soul Calibur… if only the feet and soles of the models were as detailed and nicely-rendered as in the Tekken games… Still, man, the babes in SC are hot as heck, and I can’t imagine my barefoot babe game library without this slash ‘em up. Hoping we see another tale of Soles and Swords in the near future!



Best. Closeup. Ever.

Best Barefoot Modding and overall Most Valuable Game in terms of Barefoot Babes goes to Streetfighter X Tekken on PC. For the whole year, barefoot babe lovers with a PC have been treated to mod after mod that thankfully de-booted the ladies in this cross-over fighter. By now every babe has at least one awesome barefoot mod, and I can’t get enough of the detailed feet and the cool, sexy views of this brawler. Barefoot Cammy, Chun-Li, Juri and Nina are my absolute faves in this one, and there’s even more soleful action to come, thanks to a large number of active modders. So much value for foot-lovers surely makes SFxTK well worth investing in a good PC or laptop for!

Best Barefoot Babe Heroines surely goes to Capcom’s flagship femme fatales, Chun-Li and Cammy in Streetfighter X Tekken on PC. These two make an awesome killer team, with Chun’s kicks and fireballs making her a versatile combatant, while the super-fast Killer Bee hits super-hard with her lightning quick Cannon Spike. Their team combos are easy to pull off and their styles just flow easily into one another’s…. plus both look freakin’ hot. Chun-Li’s goody-two shoes personality also meshes well with Cammy’s no-nonsense toughness. Someone put these babes on a pedestal (the better to see their hot soles with!) right away!

Best Barefoot Bad Girl goes definitely to Juri Han from Streetfighter. She was already smoking in her debut in SSFIVAE, but in Streetfighter X Tekken, she’s definitely smoldering, with her psychotic charm pumped up even more. Doesn’t hurt she gets some awesome, sexy mods- the best of which is surely the Flesh Pit Costume mod borrowed from another fighting femme fatale, Mortal Kombat’s Mileena- but of course, Juri’s even sexier in it than Mileena (thanks to the lack of Tarkatan looks!). I’m hoping that this TKD Vixen continues to stalk the good guys in future Streetfighter titles, and hopefully in the (upcoming) Tekken X Streetfighter.

2012 was a great year for foot-loving gamers, despite a couple of glaring low spots. I’m hopeful for more barefoot babes in the new year! Intriguingly, there future isn’t very clearly-defined… we don’t know fore sure what games will be coming in the months ahead, but I know I’ll continue to enjoy the tons of games we already have as we wait. I’ll continue to post about our shared passion here and renew my hunt for the sexiest virtual bare feet in videogames in 2013. Here’s to more soleful treats in store for us soon! 

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown: The Best Barefoot Babe Fighter has Arrived

The best barefoot babes in fighting games are ready to brawl for you.

 As I was about to start writing this feature, I was debating at first whether or not to put a question mark at the end of the title- but in the end, I decided not to. For there really isn't any doubt of that. Pound for pound, babe for babe, foot by lovely bare foot... Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (or VF5FS for short) is THE fighting game barefoot babe fans need to have. Of course, it sits just ahead of a couple of also Must-Have brawlers that have been this blog's mainstay of hot soles for the past couple of years. Close behind in second place is solidly Tekken 6, with it's awesome fleshy soles, sexy KOs and hot Tekken Babes. Bringing up third are the wonderful, mod-able PC Streetfighter games- Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition and Streetfighter X Tekken.

The opposition are in many aspects superior to VF5FS; Tekken has more babes, better-rendered soles and toes. Streetfighter brings the fun, amazing camera angles, amazing (if stylized) detailed feet and the teasing fun of modding. However, Sega's fighter just brings with it simple solid barefoot luxury. Five babes, all uber-hot, all now finally given Barefoot Customization, all as well allowed to go as sexy as mainstream non-porn games can allow- bikinis, and bare feet- a combo that just can't be beat. Add to this the game's peerless animation, the hot fighting action just allows for some truly sexy knockouts... well, this is a game that I just find so satisfying to play and watch.
 


Customizations aplenty... of course only ONE customization is actually vital...

All is not perfect- gaming wise, the content is a bit bare bones aside from the actual Character Customization (which trounces the other games to no end). You will need to love the VF style of fighting gameplay to really get into this game, which shouldn't be too hard since this version of VF5 is easily the most accessible, most entertaining and enjoyable to play. Now, I don't really care about online much, but it's there- all I need is the babes, their wardrobe of hot costumes, the ability to keep their feet firmly uncovered and to just watch them go into action. Surely, after every brawl these lovely babes will want their tired feet to be kissed, serviced and massaged by their loving fans. And really... the VF girls' feet just look so soft and delicate (as opposed to the tough femme feet in Streetfighter) and oh, so spotless all the time. Perfection, that's what this game is, in terms of barefoot hotness. I'm sure to enjoy this game as long as I can hold a controller. Or till VF6 arrives... heheh.

Really, with this game running on a big TV before you, you can see how awesomely hot it is- nothing quite like a barefoot, bikini babe in HD kicking high, her soles into your face right in front of you. Man, the VF babes are awesome... and they're all mine to play with now. Well, ours... heheh.

Getting Ready for VF5 Final Showdown!

My, oh, my. I have always believed in the saying, 'Everything comes to he who waits,' and lo- that has proven true indeed. For the past several years, I (and quite a few fellow foot-loving gamers out there, surely) have been dreaming of one particular title to come to our grimy hands. That title is, of course, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. The latest and BEST upgrade to the original VF5 (which came out in 2006!), VF5FS greatly improves the base game in so many ways- significantly changing every fighters' move lists with sexy new moves and animations (such as several sexy new KOs), adding two brutal new challengers into the roster, improving the camera, adding dynamic new stages and so on... but of course, the best addition in VF5FS is... Barefoot Bikini Babes.

Well, actually Barefoot Customization for every babe (actually every fighter including males) already arrived in a previous upgrade, VF5R... but it is only in FS that Bikinis were added, as part of the new 'S' class of outfits (basically a bare essentials look which allows for players to mix and match any element from all the other outfits together). Thus Final Showdown brings together the best and sexiest combo- bare feet and bikinis, and in the highest quality in a mainstream beat 'em up. DOA hasn't given us this since the PSX version (Team Ninja can go jump in a lake); Tekken apparently has a 'No Bikini' law being enforced by their producer (What IS it with him?) and Soul Calibur... well, sadly their character models' feet just aren't as well-rendered as I want them to be.

Long Story Short- our dream is FINALLY about to come true, with the best and hottest fighting game out there arriving on consoles (PS3 and Xbox360) in just a few days! All you require is a console and a good internet connection, since VF5FS is a DLC game- digital download ONLY. This is actually great since it means you can play it on your console without running a disc in the drive- always better for the longevity of your machine. Even better, the game only costs $14.99 (or 1200 Microsoft Points) on PSN, with the Customization DLC (All outfits for all characters are grouped into 2 bundles of $14.99 each). All in all, the whole package is just shy of $45... what a STEAL considering the thousands of customizations in the package and endless hours of awesome, peerless (barefoot) fighting action and KOs to be enjoyed.

I am excited as can be- I'm planning to use the lovely Aiki-Jutsu mistress, Aoi Umenokoji, first. She was the first barefoot babe in VF (since she was the only girl with barefoot customization in Vanilla VF5), and as such is a sentimental favorite (plus she was the one I always used of course, so I should be at least a bit competent with her). As you can see, she ditches the hakamas and kimonos in her new 'S' bikini, albeit with a sarong- though that flimsy bit of cloth doesn't really conceal as much as it just teases. Heheh. It will be awesome to play with Aoi again and have her stomp her soft and lethal soles into her opponent's faces... or to see her unconscious sleepy soles in defeat. Whatever happens, we really can't lose! I'll surely be posting TONS of VF5FS vids- both matches and KO vids- at the Youtube Channel as well as here, so stay tuned.
Have to say, the past few months- having fun with PC mods and now back to console- really make me so happy I'm a foot-loving gamer in this day and age. Best time ever. Heheh. Later then!

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown FINALLY Coming to Consoles in 2012!!!

Perhaps the single most wonderful news for us barefoot videogame babe fans all year has finally arrived! Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown has FINALLY been announced for consoles. This downloadable, standalone release (no need to own the original VF5 disc) will be coming to PSN and Xboxlive in Summer 2012.

In case you haven't seen any of the gazillion articles I've posted about VF5FS, let me enlighten you. Final Showdown is the latest and GREATEST upgrade to Sega's flagship fighter- arguably the finest one-on-one fighting game out there, it also has the distinction of pretty much having oodles of fan service- which includes, YES, Barefoot Customization for ALL the game's hot and sexy female fighters as well as sexy costumes which include skimpy swimsuits and bikinis. In other words, VF5 Final Showdown is a Dream Come True for us! Bikinis banned in Tekken? Well, who cares! VF5FS is all we need! WOOHOO!!!

At long last, The delectable ladies of VF: Pai Chan, Sarah Bryant, Aoi Umenokoji, Vanessa Lewis and Eileen will be OURS, baring their hot, perfect soles and toes (and MORE) in the comfort of our home consoles. It's still a long way off (Summer 2012), but man- it'll be here long before Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for consoles. It's something truly to look forward to, if there's anything worth looking forward to in barefoot babe games. This is indeed truly something to rejoice about. Seeya in Summer 2012, ladies!

Bikinis Banned in Tekken Tag 2?

It seems like Pai Chan, Sarah Bryant and the rest of the VF Girls won't be getting any competition in the fighting genre's Swimsuit Category anytime soon. Recently on Twitter, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada responded to a Tekken fan's question whether the girls would receive bikini costumes in the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The answer, disappointingly, was a pretty solid 'NO'. Now, I wasn't really expecting Tekken to go this route, even if the recent infusion of fan service in Sega's Virtua Fighter may have signaled a new level of fan service for 'serious' fighting games. Apparently, Tekken is still 'sacred' to some degree.

This doesn't mean of course that the game will not have it's share of sex appeal- while bikinis per se may not be coming, there are usually sexy outfits available to the female characters that are just as hot, if not hotter, than straight swimwear. Of course, bikinis are awesome but in the end, the most important to us here of course is basic barefoot customization. With Character Customization already confirmed in the game, I'm hoping that this time around at least all the girls get the option to go shoeless, aside from those who already had it in Tekken 6.

That said, I guess this just makes it more imperative that we all keep praying and hoping for a console port of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown to get our barefoot bikini babe fix on our PS3's and Xbox360's. Another title that will hopefully yield lingerie-clad lasses is the new Soul Calibur, as long as the Character Creation feature remains intact. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that everything turns out for the best in the end, people. Later then!

Pai Chan Sexy Swimsuit Action! (Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown)

Oh, WOW! Here's one of the first match videos from the ongoing first location test in Japan for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. As I've posted before, this is probably THE upcoming arcade fighting game foot fans want most to be brought to consoles thanks to the hot, hot, hot barefoot-able VF babes. VF5FS further ups the ante by giving the characters a sexy new 'S' outfit, which is basically just a bikini (or similar swimwear for guys).

Previously we've seen pics of supercute monkey-style kung fu girl Eileen in her cute and frilly swimsuit, but this is the first actual video of a VF babe wearing her 'S' bikini in action. It pleases me to no end that the babe in feature is Pai Chan, the lovely action star and kung fu princess that I've loved since the first VF. After all these years she finally shows off her bikini bod, and she does not disappoint. Of course, while Pai's slim and sexy beauty is a feast for the eyes, our main focus are her sexy, perfect and butt-kicking feet, from delicate toes to soft-looking soles. Man, she's awesome. Anyway, you'll have to excuse the vid- for one, Bikini Pai is a CPU-controlled character, so she's wearing some other odd items along with her swimsuit. Secondly, our view of the sexy action is obscured by the freakin' annoying Input Boxes, which I really find utterly and totally irksome. GODDAMN I want them off the screen!!! Anyway, this is the best we can get for now. Enjoy!

More than ever, I'm crossing my fingers for the (hopefully inevitable) announcement of a console version of VF5FS. For now, we can just try to find our bikini-clad, barefoot hotties in these match vids, nicely shared online by lucky Japanese players. Hopefully Sega will share the love to us all someday. Keep hoping people! For now, just dream of Pai's lovely toes and soles rubbing onto your faces... Mmm.

Eileen: Barefoot Bikini Pic! (Virtua Fighter 5 FInal Showdown)

Need more reason to PLEAD for a console port of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown? Well, take a gander at luscious Eileen above, dressed (or undressed, as the case may be) in her new 'S' outfit. This sexy pic (and a few others) was showed off by Sega to the press today, to promote the upcoming arcade upgrade.

As I've posted before, this unlockable new bikini is intended to be a new outfit slot where you can mix and match pretty much any costume piece to make up your own costume combo. Me? I'm happy with just the bikini and Eileen's luscious bare feet, period. Of course this is just a starter- the rest of the VF girls will have their own hot 'S' outfits too.

Just looking at Eileen's pic, I'm pretty stoked- and just from a purely graphic perspective. You can see they've really worked on the character model so she looks awesome in her bathing suit (it's not just a texture they put over the original character model). Foot fans have gotta appreciate how lovely and properly slim her ankles are leading down to her feet- a nice improvement over the straight, tree trunk-like legs from games in the past, such as in the Dead or Alive and DOAX games.

So let's all keep our fingers crossed for the eventual console version announcement- but I definitely think we've got great things to look forward to in our gaming future. For now, dream of giving Eileen's perfect and petite feet the worship such beautiful things deserve. Man, I can suck on those toes for hours... they probably taste like peaches. Heh...

VF5 Final Showdown Customization: 'S' for Swimsuit!

More on Sega's upcoming arcade upgrade, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. The dev blog just posted a pic of one of FS's new 'S' outfits, and nicely enough it's for one of the babes. Wooh... I'm sure that if there were any out there who overlooked Eileen among the VF girls, they probably notice her now.

Man, it's about time Sega followed the old Tecmo route- the best outfit to kick butt in for babes is a barely-there bikini and bare feet. Once again, I have to say that this game MUST come to consoles, somehow, someway. I think things are pointing to that though, particularly with the sexy new S outfits... this is something any red-blooded player will want to appreciate in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, not in some smoky arcade.
Anyway, Sega also posted a gameplay trailer for VF5FS on Sega's Youtube channel, which is heavy on the game's new techniques but sadly lacking in any customizations of barefoot babes. Still, it's something to check out what this game has to offer in terms of beat 'em up action. Hopefully Sega will release a trailer showing off all the babes in their swimsuits (I cringe at the thought though of the guys in their speedos but, eh... I guess there are lady players out there who'll appreciate that).

Anyway, keep your fingers crossed, foot fans... who knows, maybe the home version will be announced in this month's E3! In any case, THIS looks to be one of the things we have to look forward to in the near future. Keep dreaming and hoping of Virtua Soles!
