Lara Croft (Tomb Raider Underworld)

I think it’s high time that I rectified a glaring absence in my blog. After almost three years of gushing about barefoot gaming babes, I have not given a proper post for one of interactive entertainment’s sexiest and most well-known heroines- and in fact, one of the hottest barefoot babes in all of videogames. I am of course talking about the one-and-only Lara Croft. Yeah, I’ve posted bits of her, but I noticed I’ve never really focused that well on her. So I’ll fix that now.

Why after all this time? Well, for starters, I just recently got a PC copy of arguably the best past Tomb Raider game (certainly MY favorite)- Tomb Raider: Underworld from Steam (at a wonderful cheap price), and I’ve been playing it for a bit.

That’s of course no surprise- being the last and latest game (the Ninth, in fact) in the series prior to the upcoming Reboot, TRU features the most life-like and detailed look for Miss Croft, albeit still retaining the trademark cartoonish style. Lara is more expressive, more detailed and wonderfully animated. In fact, she was motion-captured by a top gymnast for TRU, so she walks with noticeably sexy, catlike grace and poise. Aside from that, her character model is really gorgeous, with bare legs and feet that we are treated to not too long into the game!

Lara spends the first couple of levels (barring the prologue intro level at a burning Croft Manor) clad in her wetsuit- which I have to say is probably hands-down her sexiest ‘normal’ outfit in the entire series. Yeah, some may prefer the old ‘Sola’ diving suit in TR2, but I prefer the TRU suit’s bikini-style cut that shows off more of Lara’s perfect legs. To add to the detail, Lara’s skin and outfit gets wet and glistening when she just got out of the water, and gets noticeably dirty and soiled if she rolls around too much on the ground. A nice detail if that’s your kind of thing.

Not even a mythical monster like the Kraken can withstand this barefoot beauty.

Anyway, TRU’s first couple of levels are certainly a foot-lovers fantasy; Lara swims to the bottom of the sea, battles sharks, runs and tumbles through dangerous caverns, battles mercenaries and escapes a sinking ship- all in her bare feet! This is, in my estimation, gaming’s equivalent of Chun-Li’s Barefoot Fight with Vega in the SF2 Anime… a sequence made with foot-lovers in mind. I truly have to thank the devs of Crystal Dynamics (some of whom are surely sole-fans themselves) for this game.

With Lara’s fleshy, lovely soles (as well as her cute behind) teasingly bouncing before you, it’s really no wonder why one can’t get tired of playing and staring at the screen in this game for hours. I’m sure foot lovers are dreaming of giving this adventuress long massages on those toned legs and giving her soles and toes proper service with kisses aplenty, after a few sessions of TRU. What a vision!

Lara wears her wetsuit at least twice in the game- during the first couple of chapters and the last one. Incentive to finish the whole game then.

Sadly, the upcoming Reboot Tomb Raider isn’t sure to show a de-booted Lara, even if the devs seem ready to subject her to tons of harm. Me, I still think that the mature, sexy and professional Lara from Underworld is Miss Croft at her finest and sexiest- certainly the best for any foot-loving gamer!

Not even a ship fulll of heavily-armed mercenaries can withstand Lara's blazing guns and deadly feet!

Anyway, as I’ve said, gamers can always revisit TRU’s barefoot Lara either on console or on PC (the Xbox360 version though has tons of cool exclusive extras) to relive her best barefoot romps. Or, just watch the vids here on this post or at my Youtube Channel! I’ve posted videos of TRU’s first couple of levels, for posterity and anytime enjoyment. Sadly, it may take a bit of time to post the rest of the game’s levels with Lara in her wetsuit since they’re the last ones in the game, but I’ll try to do so eventually.

Once again, awesome Deviantart veteran Nico Bass delivers another wonderful rendition of a barefoot Lara Croft for fans to enjoy. This time the artwork portrays the sexy adventuress barefoot in her sexy diving suit from Tomb Raider 2, exploring a ruined, sunken ocean liner. Man, you can easily imagine her picking her way through the place, her strong, sexy soles padding lightly over the wet floor. I'm sure every footfan would give a lot to be able to give this heroine warm kisses and massages over her perfect soles, heels and toes after the adventure is done.

The Best Barefoot Babe Videogames of 2009

My first (and last) poll of 2009 showed off some nice results on what videogames readers saw as the best title for barefoot babes.

Tekken 6 at first place got 42% of the votes, and was a pretty no-brainer winner. For starters, it was the newest game in the poll (even if the console versions were based on an arcade game that had been out for at least a year and a half) and consequently had the best graphics and animation, as well as a host of barefoot-able hotties (by customization) who could kick ass and looked amazingly luscious while at it. The quality of the graphics in Tekken 6 easily make Asuka's and company's bare feet the most kissable and sexy in-game bare toes and soles yet seen in a game. Detailed toes and toenails, fleshy soles, arches, sexy calves and ankles... the works! Surely Tekken 6 will be a permanent fixture on my PS3 (or Xbox360s for other gamers) from now on. Here's looking to the future, and perhaps Tekken 7..?

Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 came in at second place with 11% of the votes. This sexy vacation game on Xbox360 surely wasn't lacking in hot, bikini-clad babes, given that it gave us the whole female cast of DOA. TONS of sexy cutscenes or gravure cinemas, a vast selection of scandalous swimsuits and a slew of hot babes made up for the game's flaws- the need to grind for hours in an often frustrating game of relationships and gifting to open up all the girls to the sexiest swimsuits and scenes and the relatively less-advanced quality of the girls' character models and feet compared to more recent games. Still, where else can you get barefoot, bikini-clad kick-ass supermodels to dance for your pleasure? I'm looking forward to the portable version of this series in a few months.

Streetfighter III Third Strike comes in at third place with 10% of the votes. Most surely the one streetfighter game that favors foot fans thanks to the inclusion of not one but three barefoot cuties in the roster- adorable ninja Ibuki, karate tomboy Makoto and leggy Capoeira princess Elena. Thankfully this title is readily found for the PS2 or Dreamcast- hopefully a version will eventually be available for download on PS3 or Xboxlive. Fingers crossed, we'll be seeing both Ibuki and Makoto in the upcoming Super Streetfighter IV.

Sharing fourth place at 9% of the votes each are Soulcalibur IV and Tomb Raider Underworld. Namco's latest blades-and-babes game is nothing short of awesome, with a huge selection of sexy femme fatales to undress down to their skimpy underwear. But as gorgeous as the game is overall, the quality of the girls' in-game feet pale in comparison to those in Tekken 6 and Virtua Fighter 5R. That little nitpick aside though this is still easily the best game for awesomely hot barefoot babes other than Tekken 6 you can get on a console, with endless hours of intense fighting action. Meanwhile, Lara Croft's latest adventure sees the classic heroine at her sexiest, with her latest character model having quite lovely and kissably detailed feet that you can ogle for hours as she runs around caverns and ruins, getting more grimy (and sexy) as she goes. The Xbox360 version is the one to get, since it has DLC for sexier swimsuits available, as well as further adventures for the barefoot adventuress to pad through.

Bringing up the rear is Virtua Fighter 5R, which with only 6% of votes comes in at last place, losing to 'Other' games (which got 8%). Sadly, while VF5R certainly has a hot bevy of babes who can now be customized to show off their perfectly delicious toes and soles for players' enjoyment, the game is only available in Japanese arcades. No one outside of Sega of Japan knows if we'll ever see a home port. Even worse, stuff like the sexy character intros most probably won't make it to consoles. Still, for the possibility of having barefoot Pai, Sarah, Aoi, Eileen and Vanessa on our TV screens, we'll keep waiting, even if it's for VF6.

I'll surely try to post more about the various games and babes from this poll in future posts, and surely feature the girls of Dead or Alive (which I amazingly neglected to post about last year). This first poll was quite fun so expect more polls to come every month. Later then!

As usual, his rendition of Lara is better than official Croft illustrations, and much, much more tuned to our tastes. Man, her feet are so detailed you can almost see her toe prints! Man, can you imagine kissing and massaging those amazing soles and toes? Nico Bass, I salute you!

The beautiful and bombastic Lara Croft is surely one of the hottest babes in videogames, and certainly one sizzling barefoot babe. Now, this isn't one of my usual video posts, as it is about CG artworks- beautiful masterpieces created by Deviantart member NicoBass, who has taken great effort to recreate some of the iconic heroine's coolest poses throughout her long gaming career.

The great thing for us though is that many of these artworks portray the lovely Lady Croft barefoot, with some of the most beautifully-rendered silky-smooth soles and delectable toes you'll see online, in titillating high resolution.
