Here's a lovely artwork of our favorite hardcore karate girl, Makoto. This all-new portrait art is from the upcoming Streetfighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, a new version of the 2D classic. This online-capable brawler will boast arcade-perfect gameplay, redone HD graphics and artwork and more goodies for the fighting game fan. Of course, for us foot fans it has lovely 2D sprites of Makoto (and fellow barefoot babe Ibuki) leaping and running about, kicking with her big, beautiful bare feet.
Makoto's toughness and cuteness are rendered well in this new artwork by artist Stanley Lau.
I really like this new portrait- it's much nicer than her original Third Strike portrait (that really made her look like a little boy, with tiny arms and huge feet that made her look pretty odd) and of course, has her tough but beautifully expressive feet drawn in nice detail. How tough those kick-hardened and callused feet must be, but their shape, defined toes and full soles and heels must be pretty sexy for the hardcore foot fan. I'll be sure to grab SF3 Online when it comes out later this year. For now, enjoy the artwork!

I did not know about this until now :O
ReplyDeleteHer left foot is ok, but her right foot is misshapen.
ReplyDeleteO_O Awesome...Nice to see such a great close up view of Makoto's feet. Stanly Lau's artwork rocks!! Great post Sole Keeper!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, KSC! Stay tuned and hopefully we'll have the new arts for Ibuki and Elena soon. ^___^
ReplyDeleteNew art for SF3...WOW! Really can't wait for Elena and Ibuki, hope we will be treated with lovely feet representation like in the past! Got to love Artgerm work, it's awesome! Even saying that..the BIG feet of the old (amazing in my opinion) art were mind blowing! Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteI love concept art, great post!
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, you might wish to check out the recently released Alice: Madness Returns. There's an underwater level where the main character is barefoot throughout.
Bountydog: No problem. So far Elena and Ibuki's art hasn't been posted, but I'm sure we'll see them soon.
ReplyDeleteChilled_Bones: I guess I should check out Alice then. ^_^ Thanks for the head-up.
